  Modified Hours for the Holidays! Due to the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, our outpatient clinics will operate with modified hours over the next two weeks. All of our offices will be closed on Christmas day and New Year’s Day, with our home health division operating on-call services. Since March, we have been doing our best to “flatten the curve” as a community and has seemingly worked!  But with the quarantine, social distancing, mask wearing, comes a feeling of hesitation, anxiety, and maybe even fear!  Despite all of that, our region is now in the Green Phase!  We are able to go out, stores are able to reopen, and a mild sense of normalcy is back. “If I only knew…” -A common statement from our patients. A typical day can be filled with stress, distractions and obligations. It is easy to get overwhelmed with… well, life.  Sometimes you just have to “keep it simple.” As an outpatient physical therapist for the last 10 years, the most common condition I treat is the spine. It is hard to say which aspect more so, the low back or the neck- as usually they go hand-in-hand. Through extensive training in graduate school and critical continuing education, such as the McKenzie philosophy, every spinal evaluation is individualized to a person’s specific needs and goals. However, there are common presentations/characteristics that are may be demonstrated. We are trained to observe movement patterns and mechanics, so our evaluation starts as soon as we see the individual walk into the clinic. Monday, December 24th was a unique day at Full Range!  For the 2nd year, we have worked with the Community YMCA of Eastern Delaware County to provide 2 swimmers with a $250 scholarship, called the Full Range Scholarship!  Founder, Mike McDevitt started the Full Range Scholarship in 2018 to give back, but that’s not all!  One of Mike’s passions is coaching and over 15 years have been dedicated to the sport of swimming.  From 2004-2009, Mike was dedicated to the development and growth of the Lansdowne YMCA Marlins swimming program. The Full Range Scholarship seeks to highlight and reward swimmers who have set goals and demonstrated a strong work ethic to achieve those goals.  To qualify, swimmers must be 13 or older and demonstrate good character, via the submission of a letter of recommendation from a counselor, teacher, coach, or activity advisor indicating the they demonstrate the four core values of caring, honesty,…
